Pool Consultation Begins

I called in at Harborne Pool this weekend. The consultation on the three design options has begun and the plans are on display in the foyer for everyone to see. There are forms to fill in and responses should be returned Harborne West by February 1st 2008 (the full address is on the form itself).

The plans are also in a number of other locations across the constituency such as libraries and neighbourhood offices.

The estimated cost of the three options are £9.7 million, £11 million and £11.2 million. The second option includes moving the constituency offices from Harborne West to the pool site (thereby cancelling the need to rent separate office accommodation from a third party), the other differences are mainly around the number of adult and junior stations in the fitness studio.

At the end of the consultation there will be a draw of all the returned forms with the winners receiving health and fitness prizes.
